€ 22,00

Among the many aircraft produced by German industry, the Focke-Wulf Fw 190 was by far one of the best. Soon christened by the nickname Würger (sparrow in English) the machine developed by Focke-Wulf in Bremen under the direction of chief designer Kurt Tank was produced in more than 20,000 examples, starting in 1941. It shares with the equally famous Messerschmitt Bf 109 the reputation as the Luftwaffe’s most famous fighter. The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 A-8 was equipped with a BMW 801 D-2 double-starred 14-cylinder radial engine with 1,700 Hp that allowed it to reach a top speed of 653 km/h.
